STARGAZER HYDLIDE Hydlide Special/Hoshi Wo Miru Hito Mashup

These are a patches for the Toshiba EMI/T&E Soft game Hydlide Special for the Famicom and Hydlide for the NES.  It's a set of graphics and gameplay overhauls which mash up the plot of the game with that of Hoshi Wo Miru Hito.

The current version is specifically for the USA NES version of Hydlide. Alongside changing all the game graphics and text, as well as replacing all of the music with Hoshi Wo Miru Hito music, it applies all the gameplay adjustments from my HYDLIDE OVERHAUL hack, which can be found here:

Also included is a Hydlide USA specific upgrade to the original DASTARD HYD-AINE Special hack with a new title screen, some HYDLIDE OVERHAUL adjustments like the invincibility password and experience rebalance, and the updated port of the Hoshi Wo Miru Hito music. This one is more Hoshi than Hydlide if that is your preference.

You can also find last year's STARGAZER HYDLIDE SPECIAL hack, only for the Famicom Hydlide Special, which I have no intention of updating currently.

Also included is zip file of a translated version of the original 2007 mashup hack by DASTARD which includes my first attempt at adding Hoshi Wo Miru Hito music to the game. This version includes patches that work with both the Famicom and the USA NES version, with the option of having the game in the original Hydlide font or that of Hoshi Wo Miru Hito.

THIS IS NOT A GAME ROM. It is a graphics and code patch authored by me which must be applied to a file owned by the downloader. You can find this game at many classic NES game online stores. Enjoy!
