GUEVARA WAR/SASUKE VS COMMANDER NES Game Patches

These are a set of graphics, text, and gameplay patches for the classic SNK game Guerilla War for the NES.

The first is GUEVARA WAR. It restores references to the Cuban Revolution, fundamental to the plot of the original game, that were scrubbed from the American release presumably because of 1980s anti-communist Red Scare censorship. All in-game signs are also translated to Spanish. It also activates a Stage Select that is normally hidden behind a cheat code, allows you to hold onto your score after continuing, extends the use of tanks and restores an unused song from the soundtrack back into the game! 

The second is SASUKE VS COMMANDER. It over-rides the entire game to only play the normally hidden Sasuke Vs Commander mini-game, replacing the title screen and attract mode to match with custom graphics.

Patches for both are included for every version of the game ROM.

THIS IS NOT A GAME ROM. These are graphics, code and text modification patches authored and programmed by me that must be applied to game file owned by the downloader. You can acquire this game from classic Nintendo game online stores. Enjoy!
